Godaddy Free Hosting Review
Godaddy was the first host I ever used. I had just bought my first domain name from them and knew nothing about hosting or domain names. I did not feel like spending any money so I just decided to use their free hosting. Godaddy’s free hosting plan comes with 5 gigs of diskspace with 250 gigs of bandwidth, not that I even knew what it meant at the time. You are given a choice between a window and a Linux plan, since I had a windows computer I figured that I had to choose that one.
Godaddy Hosting Account
My account was set up in about an hour. Their c panel is different from most of the other ones, however since this was the first one I ever used it was pretty easy to get used to. The ftp was pretty easy to figure out how to use, and in about 2 hours my first one page website was up and running. I never noticed any downtime to any of my web pages or any other hosting related problems. Their free hosting is add supported so at the top of each of my web pages there was this ugly banner with ads on it. They also offer paid hosting at around $3.50 a month for the same amount of space but with the ugly banner ads removed. When my website started getting a decent amount of visitors I decided to spring for paid web hosting since I had no clue how many visitors I was losing to those banner ads.
Overall Review Of Godaddy Hosting
I would say that I had an overall good experience with godaddy’s hosting. I buy all my domain names from godaddy because they are the cheapest and best registrars for domain names.
